Your first request

Once you have connected your assistant, start a new chat and say:

Use qq. What’s in my workspace?

Your assistant looks at your workspace and tells you what it holds: the jobs that are set up, where their instructions are, and what you can do there. A new workspace is nearly empty, and your assistant will say so.

Getting started in a new workspace

If your workspace is new, say:

Use qq. Get me started with Cue-Queue.

Your assistant asks a few questions about your work, one at a time, and comes back with the pieces of it worth handing over: usually several, each in a line, with where it would start. You choose which to set up now. It writes down what your workspace is for and what you chose in a README you can read, then builds each piece with you. Last, it makes you a home page that lists your work and what is waiting on you. If the chat stops halfway, the next one carries on from the README.

The same buttons are on your home page in the web app: Get started, and Try an example if you would rather see Cue-Queue work on sample data first.

Why “use qq”

Assistants choose for themselves when to use a connector, and some only reach for one when a message mentions it. “qq” is the connector’s name, so saying it, or “Cue-Queue”, makes sure your assistant looks at your work before it answers. Once it has, the rest of the chat just carries on.

Then ask for something real

Pick something you do regularly, and hand it over the way you would to a new colleague:

I write a weekly update for our clients from the week’s project notes. Set that up here, so that every Friday I can just say “draft the weekly update”.

Your assistant will ask what it needs to know, then set the job up. Next time, in any new chat, the one sentence is enough.

If it goes wrong

  • Your assistant says it has no such tool, or does not mention Cue-Queue. Check the connector is turned on for this chat. In Claude it is under + then Connectors.
  • It asks you to sign in. Follow the link. You sign in to Cue-Queue in your browser, then go back to the chat.
  • More in Questions and troubleshooting.
